Our radiant heating system had been acting flaky and steadily deteriorating over the last couple of years. Many companies refused to touch it (apparently, radiant systems are complicated) and a few companies attempted to and failed to diagnose it. Finally, we couldn’t get it to start up (on a weekend of course). I called several companies. Some just couldn’t help. With others, it took me a couple of minutes to realize I was talking to an AI!!! With Janes, an actual person took the call, and seemed to understand the actual model and problem we had. John was out on Monday, and quickly diagnosed the issue — turns out the heat exchanger was leaking CO and gas, and we had a faulty solenoid. He clearly explained the pros and cons of repairing our out-of-warranty condensing combi-boiler or replacing it. We opted to replace. Josh was here the next morning, and handled the replacement super efficiently. The contrast in the warm floors and immediate hot water are pretty clear!!! Both John and Josh were super professional, and great to work with.

This is the second year that we have used Janes for our annual heating check and specifically requested Michelle, as she was able to fix bubbles in our radiant heat lines last year (when another heating company failed to fix the problem.) We appreciate the work so much as the weather grows colder!

From the initial contact to schedule an appointment, I was impressed. After a number of unsuccessful attempts to have a specialist in radiant heating systems to service our system on Whidbey Island, not only did Janes Radiant Heating confirm they do service the system we have installed, they were onsite in 2 days and to my availability.
When setting up the appointment, the customer care rep was very clear on setting scope and pricing expectations.
Jesse M arrived right on schedule, listened to my issue and immediately went to work. He was very professional, customer focused, and knowledgeable. Jesse was onsite for maybe 2 hours and left with the issue addressed.
[He]was able to explain the technical aspects of the issues. [and give a] thorough assessment of the system and recommendations for follow-on action, which was presented without a sense of urgency (i.e., no hard sales pitch)…

I continue to be highly impressed with this company. Josh did a very good job installing the system and he clearly cares about the quality of his work! He also promptly came out to make some adjustments when the temperature differentials were different than our prior system. The responsiveness and customer forward care was simply outstanding.
